Smoothies have three main ingredients:

Yogurt (Greek or regular, plain or flavoured)
Soy beverage (plain or flavoured)
Peanut or nut butter

to provide vitamins, minerals, and the right texture

Fruit juice

Almond beverage
Rice beverage

for a good dose of fibre and antioxidants

Fresh fruit 
Frozen fruit

Recipe ideas

  • 250 mL (1 cup) milk 
  • 125 mL (1/2 cup) strawberry-banana juice 
  • 250 mL (1 cup) strawberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 125 mL (1/2 cup) vanilla Greek yogurt 
  • 250 mL (1 cup) orange juice 
  • 250 mL (1 cup) mango chunks (fresh or frozen)

  • 30 mL (2 tbsp.) peanut butter 
  • 250 mL (1 cup) almond beverage 
  • 1 banana

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
