Campfire chocolate-marshmallow banana boats
- Cut through banana peels and into bananas, slicing lengthwise end to end along the inside curve. Make small, horizontal cuts in peel at each end and open up bananas slightly.
- Insert marshmallows, chocolate chips, and coconut or pecans into bananas and then press bananas back together. Wrap in aluminum foil, place in hot, glowing embers and bake 5 to 8 minutes, depending on intensity of fire. Enjoy eating them with spoons.
Cook your banana boats on a grate if your campfire is still going strong or place them directly on glowing embers if it’s dying out. You can also cook them on the barbecue over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
