- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Cut 10 slices of baguette and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Broil in oven for 4 to 6 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
- Finely dice avocado.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix gently.
- When ready to eat, spread crab mixture onto toasted baguette slices.
You can freeze crab meat for up to a month. The meat will lose some of its moisture and texture while thawing, but it will still be good for favourites like croquettes, spreads, and salads.
Crab meat is an excellent source of protein, Vitamin B12, selenium, copper, and zinc. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids which help prevent heart disease.
