- Place some strawberries in foil wrap.
- Add the maple syrup, chocolate chips, and a few mint leaves. When the packet is assembled, close tightly and cook on the barbecue about 5 minutes over medium heat.
- In the meantime, place 3 mini pastry shells on each of four plates. Remove the foil packet from the barbecue, open it carefully, and spoon the fruit equally into the pastry shells.
- Top with a scoop of ice cream right before serving and garnish with a mint leaf.
Gourmet tip: Replace the chocolate with caramel, and boost the flavour with some cinnamon, pink pepper, citrus zest, or fresh herbs like tarragon or basil.
