What OS (operating system) version is required?

The iOS application requires iOS 8.0 or later.
The Android application requires OS 4.1 or later.

Is the IGA application free?

Yes, the IGA app is free on both iOS and Android.

How to know which iOS or Android version is installed on your mobile device?

For Android devices:

  •       On the Home screen, tap the Applications icon
  •       Tap Settings
  •       Scroll down to select About phone or About this device
  •       The Android version installed on your device should be indicated here, under Android Version 0.0.0. 

For iOS devices:

  •       Select the Settings icon on the home screen
  •       Tap Genral 
  •       Tap About
  •        The OS version will be indicated next to Version

Can an anonymous user make use of the application?

An anonymous user can use this application without creating an account or logging in. 
He will be able to browse through recipes, the online grocery, and the flyer. 

However, to place an order on the online grocery, the user must be logged in his account.

How to manage your lists and cart?

The user must be logged in to manage his lists and cart. 

To add items to their shopping cart and proceed with a purchase, the user must log in.

What’s the difference between the billing and delivery address?

The billing address is the one linked to your credit card and is usually your civic address. The delivery address is the address where you want us to deliver your order.

Do I need an account to buy groceries online?

Yes. In order to purchase your groceries online you must have or creat an account. That way, your personal and delivery information will be saved for your next order.

How do I begin buying my groceries online?

To buy groceries online, start by choosing the supermarket that will assemble your order, since the products offered depend on the store. You have three options, under “Begin to shop”:
  1. If you have an account, you can log in.
  2. If you do not have an account, you can create one. This simple, fast process will make buying groceries online easier.
Then simply place the items you want in your grocery cart.

How do I add items to my grocery cart?

Choose an item from the online grocery store and click on the "Add" icon. Each additional click increases the quantity of an item, or you can enter a number in the box to left of the "Add" button.

Can I buy my groceries on any computer?

Yes. You can shop on any computer, smartphone or tablet with Internet access. Many customers use both their home and work computers, and others even visit the IGA

online grocery store while on a business trip or vacation, so that their groceries are ready for pickup or delivery when they return home. If you place an order on a shared computer, don’t forget to log out afterwards so that no one can access your account and your Personal information.

What do I do if I can’t find a product on your site?

Mention it in the "Comments" box at the bottom of the grocery cart, or contact Customer Service by dialing 1-800-465-2139 or 514-324-8254, or by filling out the form in the Contact Us section.

How do I see what’s in my grocery cart?

The grocery cart is always visible as you shop in the online grocery store; you can see it on the right side of your web browser. You can instantly see the contents and make changes, or click the "See cart" link for more details.

If you navigate elsewhere on the site than the online grocery page (e.g., Inspiring recipes or Products to discover), you can return to your cart by clicking on the "Cart" button at the top of each page, to the left of the "Store" button.

How do I remove an item from my cart?

Click on the trash can icon to the right of the product you want to remove.

How do I get more information on a product, such as the nutritional value, price, format, or quantity?

Click on a product in the online grocery store to access the detailed product page.

What is the difference between the grocery list and the grocery cart?

The grocery cart is used to hold the items that you choose in the online grocery store with the intention of buying them. You can purchase them by clicking on the "Order" button in the grocery cart. As for the grocery list, this function lets you make lists of products for different occasions, which you can store in your account, print for in-store shopping, or transfer to your grocery cart so that you can order the products! You can also add items to a grocery list by searching your account by keyword, by browsing recipes, or by navigating through the online grocery store.

Can I add my grocery list to my cart to order the items online?

Of course! There are two ways to add your list to your grocery cart:
  1. From your account, go the Grocery lists section. Select the list and products, and then click “Add to my grocery cart.”
  2. From your grocery cart in the online grocery store, click “Add an existing list to cart,” select your list, and confirm by clicking “Add to cart.”

Can I see my previous purchases?

Yes. You can access your previous orders in the Order history section of your account. And when you are shopping online, you can check “My previous purchases” to display only your favourite products.

Can I add the ingredients from an recipe to my grocery cart?

Sure! Check one or more recipe ingredients and click “Add to basket.” The site will direct you to a search page where you can select the appropriate products, one ingredient at a time.

Can I add ingredients from another online recipe to my grocery cart?

Unfortunately, you cannot automatically add ingredients from an online recipe found elsewhere than on However, you can find these ingredients in our online grocery store by using our search engine.

What happens if an item I choose isn’t available?

In your detailed grocery cart, you can choose a different substitution option for each product, in case some items are not available when your order is assembled in-store.

From your account, you can also choose the same substitution option for all items.

The substitution options are:

  • Same size, different brand;
  • Same brand, different size;
  • No substitution.

Although we constantly strive to keep our product selection up-to-date, there may be situations where a product is not available at the IGA store you selected. If a product is not available, your grocer will follow the substitution options you indicated in the Preferences section of your profile. 

How can I track my order?

Follow the order processing steps in the Order history section of your account profile by clicking on the order you wish to track.

You can also contact your grocer directly if you are uncertain about your order status.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, as long as your order status is In progress / New or In progress / Ready for assembly. To check, go to the Order history section of your account profile and click on the order number you wish to cancel. If the order status allows it, you will be able to click on Cancel my order just below the order summary.

You can also contact your grocer directly if you are uncertain about your order status.

How can I pay for my order?

Depending on which IGA store you choose, you can pay by credit card, debit card, or cash when you pick up your order.

If you choose to have your order delivered, the IGA grocer you selected may or may not accept payment by credit or debit card. This will be indicated on the order screen before you submit your order.

Some IGA stores accept direct credit card payment on our secure site. You need only present your credit card and some ID at pickup or upon delivery to confirm your identity.

Can I use an IGA gift card to pay for my order?

You cannot use an IGA gift card to pay for your online order. However, you can use an IGA gift card if you choose to pay for your order directly at your IGA store at pickup.

  • Who do I ask for help if I can’t log on?

  • What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

    No problem!
    1. Click on the “Forgot your password?” link on the Login page.
    2. Enter your email address and click “Submit.”
    3. You’ll receive an email explaining how to re-activate your password.
    4. Click on the link in the email, directing you to our website. You’ll be able to create a new password.
  • Can I change my password?

    Of course!
    1. Go to the Personal information/Password section of your account.
    2. Enter your current password and click “Change my password.”
    3. Enter a new password and confirm.
    4. Save your changes.
  • How do I change my email or civic address on the site?

    To change your email address, go to the Personal information section of your profile. You can also change, remove or add a civic address in the Address book of this section.
  • What is the “Grocery lists” function?

    With this function, you can make grocery lists for all sorts of occasions! Then store these lists in your account, print them for in-store shopping, or transfer them to your shopping cart to order the items.
  • How do I make a grocery list?

    You have two options:

    1. In the Grocery lists section of your account, click on “Create a new list.” Name your new list and enter products; then click on “Create.”
    2. In your detailed grocery cart in the online grocery store, click “Add the selected products to a list,” or click the list icon appearing below each product. Under “Create a list,” name your list and click “Create.”
  • How do I add items to my grocery lists?

    You can add items to your lists in three ways, depending on which site section you are in:
    1. In the Grocery lists section of your profile, select the list you want, and add a keyword in the “Add a product” box.
    2. In the online grocery store, click on the “Add to the list” button beneath each item.
    3. On a recipe page, check off the ingredients you want and click the “Add to the list” button.
  • How do I close my account?

Online order

  • How do I place my order?

    Once you have reached the order minimum of $45, click on the shopping cart “Order” button and follow these steps:
    1. If you are already a member, go directly to step 2. If not, you can create an account.
    2. Choose how you will receive your order: by delivery or by pickup at the store. If by delivery, enter the address to which you wish to have your order delivered.
    3. Confirm the store that will take care of your order, or select another. Careful! If you change stores, some products may not be available. Then choose the time slot for pickup or delivery of your order.
    4. Choose the payment method: online or upon receipt of order.
    5. It’s important to verify your order details before placing your order. It will not be processed if you do not click on “Pay and place my order.”
  • Is it possible to place an order ahead of time?

    Yes. You can place an order up to seven days before delivery or pickup. 
  • Can I place an order for someone else?

    You can order for someone else if you pay online. Simply enter the person’s name and address, and pay for the order with your credit card.
  • Why do some stores not offer the choice between pickup and delivery?

    There are two possible reasons:
    1. The selected store does not offer delivery;
    2. Your home is located outside the store’s delivery zone.
  • When ordering, can I give instructions on selecting perishable items such as produce?

    Of course! In the detailed shopping cart, you can include comments or special instructions for each product. To access them from the online grocery store, click on the "See the cart" button in your mini grocery cart.
  • What if I forgot an item on my order or want to change it?

    Contact your IGA store directly. Consult the store file for contact information.
  • How do I cancel an order?

    You have two options if you wish to cancel an order:
    1. In your online account, select the order to be cancelled and click "Cancel my order."
    2. Contact the IGA store taking care of your order directly. If there is little time left to cancel, it is better to contact the store directly. Consult the store file for contact information.

    Check your order status in the Current orders section of your account. Once order assembly has begun (processing), you can no longer modify or cancel your order.

Online payment

What are the fees for an online order?

The assembly and delivery fees vary, depending on the IGA store selected. Moreover, some IGA stores have two delivery zones with different rates, based on distance: the regular zone and the extended zone.

How do I know what the assembly and delivery fees will be?

The assembly and delivery fees will appear in the subtotal of your grocery cart once you have chosen the store and pickup or delivery.

How do I pay for my groceries online?

You can pay for your order when you pick it up or directly online if this option is available at your chosen store. For online payment, you must have a Canadian billing address. 

To pay upon order delivery, you can choose between cash, credit or debit, depending on the payment methods accepted by the selected store. 

For online payment, a preauthorized amount on your credit card corresponding to the total amount of your order plus 25%, will be processed on your credit card. Once your order is assembled and the cash checkout transaction completed, only the actual amount of your order will be charged to your card.

What payment method is accepted for online orders?

You can pay for your online purchases with your credit card. If you have an account, you can pay for your order upon receipt by using one of the payment methods accepted by the selected store (cash, debit and/or credit).

When I pay for my order in-store, will the actual total differ from the estimated total?

Although we strive to offer the same prices online as in our stores, the totals may differ for the following reasons:
  • A product substitution has been made and the price differs;
  • The article is sold by weight (e.g., produce);
  • A selected item was not available;
  • An additional in-store discount applies to a given item.

Where do I enter my credit card number?

To pay online, you must complete your order, click on “Pay and place my order,” and enter the requested information in the “Optimal Payments” window.

What are the delivery fees for seniors?

Contact your IGA store directly to find out the available discounts. You’ll find the contact info in the store’s file.

  • How do I subscribe to the IGA newsletter?

    Simply write your email address in the field next to “Subscribe to our newsletter,” at the bottom of each website page. You can also manage your IGA and Wikibouffe newsletter subscriptions in the Personal information/Newsletters section of your account.
  • How do I unsubscribe from the IGA newsletter?

    You have two options to unsubscribe:
    1. Click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of your IGA newsletter, in your mailbox.
    2. Manage your newsletter subscriptions in the Personal information/Newsletters section of your account.
  • Can I collect and save the recipes that interest me?

    Of course! When you have an account, you can collect your favourite recipes in your recipe book. Click on the ­­"Add to my recipe book" button on any recipe page.
  • How can I access my recipe book?

    Log in to your account and click on recipe book in your profile to see your favourite recipes.
  • Can I print my recipe book?

    Yes! Select one recipe at a time from your recipe book and then click on the "Print" button, found above the ingredient list.
  • Can I buy the ingredients for an IGA recipe?

    Yes! Check off the ingredients on the recipe page and click on "Buy the ingredients."


Where can I get an AIR MILES™ card?

There are two easy ways to obtain your AIR MILESTM card:

1. Fill out the enrolment form, available at the courtesy counter of any IGA or IGA extra supermarket, and you’ll receive your card right away.

What are you doing for the environment?

The environment is a major concern for IGA merchants, as countless initiatives carried out over the years demonstrate. The IGA store in Saint-Pascal-de-Kamouraska was the first supermarket in Canada to receive LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, proof of the leadership shown by IGA merchants in sustainable building.

What does independent/affiliated merchant mean?

An independent or affiliated merchant owns the store. This owner has a supply contract with a distributor, and both partners share responsibilities. The distributor is often responible for negotiating with suppliers and for advertising. The merchant is responsible for the store’s day-to-day operations, such as buying and staff management. The independent or affiliated merchant has more freedom than a franchisee and can adapt the store’s selection of products to the local market, yet still enjoy the support of a major industry player.

Why aren’t all the in-store weekly specials available online?

For technical reasons, it’s impossible to display all the specials on the online grocery store, but rest assured that they will all be applied to your online order by the store.

Is the weekly gift automatically added to my order? If not, when do I add it?

Select “Weekly gift” in your detailed grocery cart. The weekly gift is offered with every $70 spent before taxes, and is included in your order. Note that the product offered as the weekly gift is always visible in the grocery cart, but you must spend at least $70 before taxes to be entitled to it. To find out what the weekly gift is, consult the flyer.

How does the Shell gas discount work?

The Shell gas discount is part of the “Weekly gift” promotion. With every $70 before taxes spent at IGA, you’ll receive a discount of 3 cents/litre on Shell gas. Consult the Weekly gift page for details.

Can I use coupons online?

For the time being, it’s not possible to use coupons for an online order, but we’re working on it!

Do you accept offers and coupons presented on a cell phone?
